117 Officers in Reserve Bank through On-line Selection Test



Reserve Bank of India is going to recruit 117 male & female persons for the post of ‘Officer’ in Grade-B.  Please see the details below:

Detail Description:
Graduates in any discipline of any recognised university with at least 60% (50% for SC / ST / Physically Challenged applicants) marks or 6.75 CGPA (5.75 CGPA for SC / ST / Physically Challenged applicants) in aggregate are eligible for the post. Post Graduates in any discipline of any recognised university with at least 55% marks (Pass marks for SC / ST / Physically Challenged applicants) or its equivalent grade in aggregate are also eligible. Graduates, who are qualified as Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / Company Secretary may also apply. Graduates, who have passed Post Graduate Diploma Course in Business Administration / Management from any Institute recognised by UGC are also eligible. Age should have to be between 21 and 30 years as on 01.06.2014 that means candidates should have to born between 02.06.1984 and 01.06.1993. Candidates belonging to OBC & SC / ST category will get relaxation in age by 3 years & 5 years respectively. Ex-Servicemen & Physically Challenged candidates will get exemption in age as per Govt. rules. Scale of Pay is Rs.21,000/- - 36,400/-. Starting emoluments will be Rs. 51,517/- p.m. Number of vacancy is 117 (Gen : 58, OBC : 36, SC : 15, ST : 08), out of which OH : 01, HI : 01, VH : 02. General Caste candidates, who had already appeared in the Written Exam for 4 times for this post are not eligible. However, this restriction is not applicable for the SC / ST / OBC / Physically Challenged candidates.

 Mode of Selection :
Selection will be made on the basis of Phase-I on-line Examination followed by Phase-II Written Examination & Interview. The Phase-I on-line Test of 200 marks will be held on 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th August at the following centres in Eastern India : Kolkata, Siliguri, Berhampur, Duragapur, Greater Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, Kalyani, Gangtok, Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Berhampur (Ganjam), Cuttack, Sambalpur, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Patna, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Agartala, Guwahati, Digrugarh, Jorhat & Silchar. The on-line Test of 130 minutes duration will consist of multiple choice objective type questions based on the following 4 subjects : (i) General Awareness, (ii) English Language, (iii) Quantitative Aptitude and (iv) Reasoning. Candidates will have to qualify in each part of the on-line Test separately. The list of the qualified candidates of Phase-I on-line Test will be uploaded on the website mentioned below tentatively in the month of August / September, 2014. Qualified candidates in Phase-I on-line Test will be called for Phase-II Written Test to be held tentatively in the month of September / October, 2014 at the following centres in Eastern India (Centre Code is given within bracket) : Kolkata (Centre Code : 15), Bhubaneswar (14), Patna (29) & Guwahati (18). The Phase-II Written Test will consist of descriptive type questions based on the following 3 subjects : (i) English, (ii) Economic & Social Issues and (iii) Finance & Management. Each of these subjects will be 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks. Qualified candidates in the Phase-II Written Test, will be called for Interview. Candidates should have to download the ‘Admission Letter’ from the website mentioned below. Reserve Bank of India may arrange Pre-examination Training at certain centres for SC / ST / Physically Challenged candidates. Desired candidate belonging to the above categories to avail of such training at their own cost, may send a request-letter as per the format given on the website mentioned below within 23.06.2014. At the time of appearing for the on-line Test, candidates should have to produce the following documents : (1) Print out of the System Generated Application Form, (2) Print-out of the Admission Letter of Test, (3) original & attested photostat copies of all certificates & Mark Sheets in support of Educational Qualification, Date of Birth, Caste (for SC / ST / OBC), Disability (for Physically Challenged applicants), Discharge (for EXSM), (4) Photo Identity Proof like Passport / Pan Card / Voter’s ID Card / AADHAR Card / Driving Licence, (5) Any other relevant documents. Selected candidates will have to undergo probation for a period of 2 years.

How to Apply :    
Candidates should have to apply on-line through this website : www.rbi.org.in within 23.06.2014. Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID, to be kept active during the currency of this recruitment process. Before applying on-line, candidates should have to go through the detailed notification entitled ‘Recruitment to the post of Officers in Gr ‘B’ (General)-DR’ available on the website. Thereafter, candidates should have to open the appropriate on-line Application Form & to fill in all the required fields. At the time of applying on-line, candidate should also have to upload his / her passport size recent coloured photograph (preferably in white background) & signature in digital format in such a way so that the file size should not exceed than 50 KB & 20 KB respectively. After that, candidate will have to verify the data, what he / she put in the Application Form. After the verification, Application should have to be submitted by clicking ‘Submit’ Button. After the submission of the on-line Application Form, candidates are required to obtain print-out of the Computerised System Generated Application Form containing a unique Registration Number & Password. Afterwards, candidates will have to choose the mode of payment either on-line or off-line.
In case of off-line mode, candidates will have to take the print-out of the ‘Fee Payment Challan’ from the website. Afterwards, candidates should have to submit the ‘Fee Payment Challan’ along with Rs.850/- (Rs.100/- for SC / ST / Physically Challenged applicants) as Application Fee in any one of the following branches within 26.06.2014 : Bank of Baroda / Bank of India / Indian Overseas Bank / Central Bank of India / Punjab National Bank / United Bank of India / Bank of Maharashtra. Fee payment will be accepted from the 2nd working day after on-line registration & can be made within 3 working days. After that, candidates should have to collect the counterfoil of the ‘Fee Payment Challan’ from the branch containing all particulars.
In case of on-line mode, candidates should have to remit the Application Fee as mentioned above through on-line payment gateway by using Master or Visa Credit / Debit Card / Internet Banking facility within 23.06.2014. In that case, candidates should have to take a print-out of ‘e-Receipt’. Last date for the submission of the on-line Application is 23rd June, 2014.
