The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is recruiting 506 “Assistant”
for its various offices in the country. Interested and eligible
candidates may apply on online only through the bank’s website (See URL
given below). The selection of the candidates will be through
Competitive Online Examination (RBI Assistant Examination) and
Interview. Educational Qualification norms and other details in brief

Number of Vacancies: 506 Nos. (Gen—273; SC—80; ST—43; OBC—110). Out of them 17 reserved for PWD and 75 reserved for Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in any
discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD
candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on
Computer.
Candidates applying for post in a particular state should be
proficient in the language of the state i.e. know to read, write, speak
and understand the language.
Age Limit:
Between 18yrs to 28yrs as on 01-07-2014.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs;
Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.8860—20100 plus other allowances as per norms.
Candidates’ Selection:
Selection of the candidates
will be through Online Examination and Interview. The Online Examination
will be for 200 marks and is tentatively scheduled to be held in the
fourth week of September 2014.
The Examination, except the Test of English Language will be
available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi. Final selection will be
on the basis of candidate’s performance in the written examination and
interview taken together in order of merit.
The examination will be conducted online in venues across many

How to Apply:
Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application, through Online Mode. The online application is to be made only through the official website of Reserve Bank of India — (See live URL to Application form given below).
During application, candidates will require to upload their scan
photograph and signature. Candidates shall follow the instruction on how to apply online, outline in the released advertisement.
Application Fee:
Rs.450/- for General and OBC candidates. Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD and Ex-Servicemen.
Application Fee can be paid through online mode during submission of online application
by means of Credit/ Debit or Internet banking OR can be paid through
Offline mode by means of Fee Payment Challan, through any branches of
the following banks — Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of
Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab
National Bank, United Bank of India.
After final and successful submission of Online Application form, candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip for future correspondence. Keep the print-out safely. DO NOT SEND ANY HARD COPY OF APPLICATION/ PRINT-OUT TO THE BANK AT THIS STAGE.
